The Triggs. (reply)

Hello Susan,
Here is some information from the 1851 census that someone had emailed me a few years ago. I was also looking for Trigg or Tragg information. Eliza Trigg or Tragg married James Kibble, my g-grandfather's father.

The census information shows William, 48 and Ann, 44 and their children, Benjamin 21, William 19, Joseph 15, Maria 13, Sara Jane 11, Absalom 9, Eliza 7 [I don't think she is my Eliza], George 4, Priscilla 2 and Mary 5M. Benjamin is listed as a cordwainer. Here is the verbatim info, "1959 0166 151 DRYBROOK TRIGG BENJAMIN SO U 21 CORDWAINER GLS ABINGHALL [ABENHALL] WESTBURY ON SEVERN NEWNHAM.
Is this Benjamin the one you're looking for?

I'm not very savy on these things either.

Good luck,

Nancy

»
» The infomation I had from family bible has a Absolom Trigg born 17th June
» 1870, I can not find him on the information you gave me 1871 Hasely
» Hill?Hill,1881 Hazel Hill.

Can you double check that the 1870 is not 1840 in the bible sometime the handwriting is not the way we write today !

Does the bible record christenings and deaths ? if so could this Absolom ( assume 1870) have been an infant death.

I'll re-check the census but I'm sure there is only the 1840 Abolom recorded.
