Forest of Dean FHT Forum - Thomas Smith - West Dean https://forum.forest-of-dean.net/ Connecting Forest of Dean Researchers World-Wide en Thomas Smith - West Dean Thomas Smith was born abt 1783 Lydney, recorded as a Sawyer aged 55 in 1841 at Coleford's Meend, Park End Walk. In 1851 he was a Sawyer at West Dean.

He was married to Elizabeth (abt 1785 Hereford Norton) and 1841 recorded four children; George, John (both Sawyers) and A? (Labourer) all aged 20, and Joseph, a 15 year-old coalminer. Joseph married Eliza Thomas in 1849.

If anyone can fill in details of Thomas' or Elizabeth's parents, I would be very grateful.
