Thanks everyone for your assistance. Dates and names do sort of tie up with names within my tree however, you are correct Slowhands there is some confusion which needs further research not sure if John BURLEY or James BURLEY is the father of Joseph.

Hi, I am currently researching my family history and so far its been going well however, I’m having difficulty finding the father & mother of Joseph Burley. I believe it may be James Burley, I would also be interested to find out the father & mother to James Burley. If anyone can offer some assistance it would be very much appreciated. The Burley family I am tracing mostly lived in and around the St Briavels area.

JAMES BURLEY,was born 1781 in St Briavels. He married ANN. She was born 1786 in St Briavels. (Not sure if James is the correct father to Joseph)
