I am not sure about her mother being Sarah Roberts Davies as she was. Sarah Anne Hyde and was the child of Antony and Eliza Hyde who both feature in another thread on the forum.
What makes you think the father of Harriett is maybe not a Roberts?
I have already had a dud birth cert for Harriett as I can't seem to tie down her details accurately.
I found a marriage for Sarah Hyde and Charles Stewart for Q1974 which would tie in with the birth of Clara Stewart. I am waiting for that one to arrive. However it still won't help me with Harriett.

You will need to get the Birth Cert, but my guess is that "Arthur" may not be a ROBERTS, or even an Arthur......

I am having no success in finding the birth of my grandmother Harriet Roberts. She was born in Littledean in 1872/73 and the census of 1881 shows that she lived with her mother Sarah Ann Hyde in the household of Charles Stewart whom her mother had married but I can find no trace of the marriage.
Harriet's father is shown on her marriage certificate to my grandfather Richard Cater BUFFIN as being Arthur Roberts deceased. no trace of him either. Can anyone shed any light on this ?
