BBC TV aug 4th -Tintern Abbey & Symonds Yat

Apologies for the short notice, tonight's "Countryfile" programme on BBC1 TV at 8pm GMT comes from the Wye Valley.

"Ellie Harrison and John Craven are in the beautiful Wye Valley on the border of England and South Wales.
Ellie faces her fear as she scales a sheer rock pinnacle called the Longstone, before zipping along a wire high above the ground in a risky manoeuvre called a Tyrolean Traverse. John is going back in time to take a look at how the 12th Century monks of Tintern Abbey once lived and worked this landscape. He will also be learning all about their relationship with agriculture, living off the land and their penchant for a rather unusual but increasingly more common tipple."

As usual it will be repeated next weekend
Sun 11 Aug 2013 12:40pm BBC One
Mon 12 Aug 2013 01:10am BBC Two

And I think available via the BBC iPlayer, altho I don't know if this is available outside the UK ?
