James of Blakeney & Awre - Forest of Dean FHT Forum

I have a James family who come from Blakeney with Awre i.e. William baptised 1826 who married Phoebe Davis. Is this the same family.

The James family is a huge family, I have several James' marrying into my tree.
Will have a look to see which ones marry who.

My William James's mother was Dinah Jones. Father another William James. They married in 1819 in Blakeney. Any good?

Dinah Jones was daughter of Thomas Jones and Ann Lee.

Great. I have a sister Mary born 1805. Also Cathalina, William and Esther.

I too have a long tree from Dinah to myself.

I have a Charles james b1821 marrying a Annie Belcher, does this fit into your tree?.

Thanks for looking but Charles does not fit in what I have. I thought Charles James from Tidenham and his wife Jane might have been my William's parents but William was born in 1795 so this is not the same Charles.

Doi you want to see my tree, I have the same siblings as you. I will have a look later as I believe I have the Lee Tree and more on William James

I also have JAMES' from Awre nr Blakeney in my line. Does anyone have
WANKLYN(WANKLIN) or STEPHENS marrying into their JAMES lines? Thanks.

Sorry to say neither of those names feature (so far) on my tree.

Does your lineage consist of Ellaway and Partrigde?

Are you saying that your Dinah Jones married William Jones? I have her marrying William James 30 December 1819. Their son , another William James is my great grandfather. Have I got it wrong?

No I do not mean that Mary Jones married a William Jones, I also have her married to William James, Where are you living? I visit the Forest often and know most of the Jones Family. I think that I need to send you my Tree

William Jones b circa 1720 married Mary Russell bap 1718 Mitcheldean married 1. Jan 1740/41

They had William 1741, Edward 1743, Thomas Nov 1745, Mary 1748 and John 1750

Mary Russell daughter of Robert and Elizabeth

Anne Morris Daughter of Thomas George and Mary Adams
