Just a note on the Mary Ann Brotheridge - Edwin Nicholls marriage.

I can confirm that the conjecture was correct as I now have the relevent birth, death and marriage certificates and they are clearly the same people.

Mary Ann Brotheridge married Edwin Nicholls 5 Oct 1874, he dies 20 June 1877 (phithosis pulmonalis or TB) and she remarries to Samuel Millard July 31 1880.

As far as I can tell there is only one offspring Lilian Mary 5 Oct 1874.
