newcomer to site - very impressed.

My Merrington roots are in Shropshire but I believe that Albert Edward Merrington and his wife Mary may have moved to Coleford where their son Albert Charles Lewis was baptised on 20 May 1919.

I moved to Newport Mon in the early 50's. My sister recalls visiting relatives on the River Wye and travelling on a small rope or chain ferry boat to cross the river. Ring any bells?

Would be grateful of any information.
