Hello Slowhands - thank you for the thread, I have amassed a lot of knowledge since we put the original query together. I have had a great deal of help from Jean, Tanith and Dewey. But we are still stuck on Willie Vaughan, and indeed his Mother Julia, we have found information through Ancestry American Census on her Daughter Jewel but no information on the other children and in particular Willie.
