Well done Slowhands. You give me one answer and then another question!
It looks like wife Eliza had died pre-1841 (unless she was round the shops when the enumerator called). But who is William Godwin? If he was another son (b 1832) then Eliza must still have been around.
This is 'doing my head in' and it is not even my posting!
