Thomas Gwilliam together with Thomas Cooper, George Coper and Richard Roberts were found Guilty of Manslaughter in 1861 and each were sentenced to 15 years penal servitude.

Thomas Gwilliam never married and died 20 December 1914 in York Hospital, Western Australia.
