Jane Read (nee Tingle) born 1828, died 1896.
She married George Brown Read (1828-1879) in 1853.
She is thought to be in her fifties and the photo may
have been taken not long after her husband died.

Ann Read who was born in 1856 and died in 1904.  
She married Leonard Pirie in Brighton in 1885.
The photo is thought to have been taken in the
late 1880s when Ann was in her early 30s.

Matthew submitted an article on the Read family history to the Practical Family History magazine which was published in the August edition.

He mentioned that there is a good plug for our Web site which they described it as "The fantastic family history Web site for anyone with ancestors from the Forest of Dean".
