George emigrated to Telluride, Colorado in 1870 and lived there working as a gold miner until his unexpected death in 1906. His family joined him, but not for a good few years.

Slowhands,
Thanks for replying re George.
I have tried to find a death for him and have got death certificates for all the likely candidates during the period he goes missing but none match up.
I wondered about being in prison and have checked gloucestershire records but that only comes up with his brief spell in prison in 1861.
Is there anyway of checking if someone was transported either from Gloucestershire or elsewhere in the country??
It would be great to find him as he really is my one remaining mystery and sadly have become quite obsessive about him!!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Can anyone work their majic to find George Priest in the 1871 & 1881 census.
Details I have so far
1861 census living with first wife under name of Prust (spent a short time in prison in 1861 but aquitted).
1867 Married second wife Elizabeth Jenkins aka Bull
1869 Son Randel born, George shown as Father on birth certificate
1871 census Elizabeth Priest is shown as head and married living in Bream Eaves with daughter Kate and son Randel. No George.
1872 Son Sidney born in December. George shown as Father on birth certificate
1881 census Elizabeth Priest is shown head and married living in Upper Redbrook with Kate, Randel & Sidney. No George.
1891 census shows Elizabeth Priest now a widow living in Wales with son Randel.

Any help to find him somewhere for these dates would be much appreciated as I have drawn a complete blank. Thanks.
