May 15 Inquests: Wednesday, at the parish of Newland, on the bodies of STEPHEN BLANCH, aged 22, and JOS BLANCH, aged 20, sons of Mr Blanch, coal miner, who, whilst at work in a coalpit, in the Forest of Dean, about three tons weight of stone and rubbish fell upon them, which caused almost instant death.
