In both the Gloucestershire BMDs and FreeBDM there is a MARY ANN JOHN born Q1 1868 Monmouth 11a 28. This is possibly your Marianne, but you would need to buy a birth certificate to find the parents names to make any further progress. The Gloucester BMDs suggest her mother wasn`t married.
