HI Ann,

I have recently started looking back into my family history and have found that John Musto Roseblade was my 3rd great grandfather. He relocated to Yungaburra, QLD and was one of the pioneers of the town. Our family still resides locally today. Here is some information that you may find interesting.

John Musto ROSEBLADE (1845-1916) & Lucy PARTRIDGE 1864 (reply)

Hello AnnC
I have been tracing my grandfather's family who lived in Coleford area and I believe that his aunt Lucy may have married your relative John Musto Roseblade after the death of his first wife. I think that they emigrated to Queensland Australia and settled in a place called Yungaburra. There is a photograph of there gravestone in Yungaburra on the internet.
I intend to visit the Coleford area in Feb of this year to see what I can find.
Mt grandfather was Sydney Partridge whose father was Timothy whom I believe to be the brother of Lucy. I think also that Lucy (Partridge) may have had a baby whilst unmarried around 1883. (Nellie)
Kind regards

John Musto Roseblade (1845-1916)

See: Photo Gallery - New Additions, May 2009
http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?mode=thread&id=18489#p18836

John Musto Roseblade's wife Mary Ann Critchley was my Great Great Grandfather Charles Critchley's daughter. His son James also had a daughter Mary Ann who married Thomas Cook . They were my great grandparents. I am still doing research on them all. I came home today from spending three more days in the Forest of Dean area. I am trying to find Charles Critchley and his wifes graves. The record says the Parish Chapel Newland. I went to The Scowles where they use to live and the Chapel is now a house. I do not know if there was a burial ground there or if they would be somewhere else. Also Thomas and Mary Ann had a daughter Ivy Constance who i cannot find after the 1911 census. If anyone has any info it would be very much appreciated. Regards Ann.
