As you probably know FreeBMD carries several records for a Samuel Madley (have also tried other spellings) all within the Monmouthshire area but these are the only marriages;

I've always believed that when a page record off FreeBMD lists more than one couple, as shown above, then each married couple are shown together, altho I'd be gratefull for confirmation of this. Certainly that looks the case from these, if indeed it is James Harris that our Ann marries ?

Assuming she's born c1855 then this is probably? her first marriage, so now looking for marriage of Ann HARRIS to Sam Madley ? However from FreeBMD I cannot find any Marriages that may fit this, including looking for Hannah as this is a common variation of Ann.

There are an awful lot of these names in the Glam/Mon areas so a difficult search, including several Samuels and Anns etc etc.
The Latterday Saints site also carries many "possibles" but nothing certain, yet...

I presume this is our Annie ?.

Sadly no household shown, I presume this correlates to the 1901 Wales Census as MP Griffiths' post above, and I assume she is the mother of William Harris head of that household ?
