Saysom/Saysum and particularly Alice (General)
This is an offshoot from the locked prior threads on where this family is now, which also involved William Pattern's enquiry about Primrose Hill scholars. http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?id=17357
I think I have found a slim connection between myself and Alice Saysom.
My father's brother's wife's father's brother's wife (OK so far?) was born Mary Margaret Annie Powell. She married Edgar Wiggell at Lydney on 2 Apr 1907, when the bride's father was given as William Powell, a platelayer. The name Mary Margaret Annie Powell only occurs elsewhere as the child baptised at Lydney on 20 Jan 1886 with father William Powell and mother's name Alice.
I can only find one Alice marrying a William Powell at the right sort of time, and this is Alice Saysom, marrying William at Lydney on 21 Sep 1884 at the age of 20.
On that basis, in answer to "Where are they now?", Alice's son-in-law's niece's nephew says "Hello from Surrey." But I'm afraid I haven't found any connection but for that slender one.
