David STOCKHAM 1844 Somerset -> NY State (General)

Thank you all so much. It really does tie together now and answers other questions we had about the other David & Sarah Stockham living so close by. We thought the two families may have been related only one used Stockham with an "h" and the other didn't. I noted in the census they had a nephew living with them named Henry but we didn't know where he fit in. We didn't realize his whole name was Henry William. We had recorded the oldest brother of David John as William H. And actually thought perhaps he had died. We didn't realize he went by Henry.
You have answered so many questions for me and helped me to determine exactly where I will visit when I come to England this fall. I want to see the places where my ancestors came from and you have helped me to pinpoint those areas in Gloucestershire and fill in the gaps in my genealogy history. Also I have had a chance to read about the wonderful areas around the Forest of Dean and view the beautiful countryside and churches on line. Thank you.
