Robert Marshall - Huntley (General)

MARSHALL :
All males have died young or have no issue. This is what I have so far:

JONAS MARSHALL - registered as the Grooms father in ROBERT MARSHALL'S (The Shoe Maker B-1812) second Marriage: - I cannot find any details of this man and therefor assume this name maybe wrong. It could be JAMES or JOHN ?
First Marriage.
ROBERT MARSHALL (B - 1812 D - 1899) - M - ANNE EVANS( B ? D-1858) MARRIED in 1833.
Robert's occupation is recorded as Master shoe maker. He appears as this on the Slater's 1868 Directory of Newent - Huntley and on marriage records for his and his children's marriages.
Robert and Anne had 3 children I can trace:
ROBERT MARSHALL (B - 1837) (D - 1857) Age 20 yrs.
MATILDA MARSHALL (B - 1839) (D- 1858) Age 19yrs.
WILLIAM EVANS MARSHALL (B-1841 - D?
Roberts first wife ANNE died in 1858 the same year as Matilda their daughter and only a year after Robert their first son.
Q - I would love to find out how and why they all died so close to each other and what happened to young William? Did he survive grow up and have children???? He appears as a 9 yr old on the 1851 Census.

Second Marriage
ROBERT MARSHALL (B-1812) -M- ELIZA HARPER ( B-1836 D-1915) in 1860
They had 8 children. - This is where it gets complicated. Their first girl and boy were named Robert and Matilda. There was only 2 boys:
Matilda (B-1861)
Emily (B-1862)
Rosa (B-1865)
Robert (B-1867)
Charles (B-1869)
Caroline (B-1872)
Ada (B-1876)
Alice (B-1878)

There are marriages registered for both of the boys in 1895.
CHARLES MARSHALL (B- 1869) married Edith Francis SMITH
I can only find one child a girl from this union -
MURIAL ROSE MARSHALL
CHARLES Married a second time in 1937
This time to MARY ROSE SMITH. There is no record of a child born to them
And they were both past child bearing years.

ROBERT MARSHALL (B-1867) -M- MATILDA NASH in 1895
They had 13 Yes THIRTEEN children between 1895 and 1916.
5 of these children were boys.
ROBERT GEORGE MARSHALL(B- 1895 D-1918 WW1 Age 23yrs) No children
CHRISTOPHER MARSHALL (B-1897 D-1917 WW1 Age 19yrs) No children.
Rose Evelyn (B-1898)
Jessie Lilian (B-1901)
Florence Hester (B-1903)
Un-Named female (I call her Elizabeth B-1905 D-1905)
Beatrice (B-1905 D-1905)TWINS Died at or shortly after birth.
Emily Eliza (B-1906)
Clarice MAtilda (B-1907)
ALBERT EDWARD MARSHALL (B-1910 D-1910)
LIONAL CHARLES MARSHALL (B-1910 D-1910) Twins died age 6 weeks.
Doreen Adelaide (B-1914)
REGINALD VERDUN PHILIP MARSHALL (B-1916 D-1942 WW2 Age 26yrs.)

REGINALD V P MARSAHLL- M- AGNES ELEANOR GRIFFITHS Abt 1936?
He died in 1942 leaving 2 children one of which was male.
CHRISTOPHER S J MARSHALL born in the 1930s
He had two sons only one of which married and had a son who also had a young son but sadly this child died recently bringing an end to this male line.

Q) I would like help to find out Who "Jonas" the father of Robert the Shoe Maker was, did he have Bothers?, and did Robert the shoe maker have brothers? If so:(Another MARSHALL LINE?) Why did Robert the shoe makers first wife Anne, son Robert and daughter Matilda die so close to each other. Was there an accident? Disease? What happened to young WILLIAM EVAN MARSHALL? Did he survive, grow up to marry and have children-? (Another possible MARSHALL line?)
Q) Robert the shoe maker and his second wife Eliza had two sons Robert and Charles, Why didn't they become Master shoe makers like their father? Did Charles have any boys from either of his marriages to Edith or Mary Rose Smith? ( Could there be a live MARSHALL line from Charles?)
Q) Robert and ELiza's Son Robert had 13 children with Matilda NASH.
Most of them appear on the 1911 Census. MATILDA was educated as she filled in the census. She listed all her children at the time as 11. 7 living and 4 dead. The dead included 2 sets of twins. Girls born in 1905 and the twin boys Albert and Lionel born in 1910. The last 2 children did not appear on the census as they were born in 1914 and 1916.

Does anyone know anything more about the shoe maker in Huntley the family were there a long time.
