Yes, I'd found the wiki site, in the course of checking where Durdham Downs was. It looks at first sight the sort of place that it would be impossible to be born in, being entirely grass ! But maybe there were some houses then. The road to Westbury-on-Trym seems to go by it, so maybe his birthplace was somewhere between the two. Thanks for pursuing it, anyway.
