Jessamine cottage, Bream (General)

Having read some old memories of the forest of dean circa 1850, jessamine seems to be the local name for jasmine or a similar climbing plant often grown against the wall of a house.

So it could well be that a cottage once named Jessamine cottage became known as Jasmine cottage as the old names for plants died out and were replaced by more common names.
