1891 Schools Lydbrook and Bilson Green areas (General)
Jeff,
I believe that they may have known each other from schooldays. However Lucy left the area.
Both married and both were widowed.
They married each other in January-March 1939 in Long Ashton ,Somerset.
However...by the time of the 1939 Register in late September 1939 they were living apart,
I believe but cannot prove it that they never saw each other again !!
George died in Liverpool in 1951.
Lucy drowned by falling into a pond in a public park in 1967.
Lucy's funeral notice used her surname by her first marriage which was MORGAN.
The GRO lists her death under ROBB which was George's surname , therefore she had not
divorced him.
One further note Lucy's first husband was William Charles Morgan his mother Sarah Ann Little
was born in Lydbrook, I wonder if they all new each other
Mike
