Without seeing the original we can but guess the word Cloverwell, Coldwell etc..

There is a Coldwell near English Bicknor.

I think most of your "clan" have been Newland / Ellwood , so I'd be tempted by Clearwell too.

The village was once named Wellington "the place of the spring" then Clowerwell meaning "spring among the clover" from which Clearwell is derived
