Calculating distances (General)

Hi Is there a web-site that tells you distances ,in miles between two places?
My grandfather Hubert POWELL is said to have walked from Coleford(where he was born in1855)to Newbridge Monmouthshire(now called Caerphilly).I found an entry in the electoral rolls for Newbridge which shows his brother Benjamin lodging with a family in 1812 so I guess they came together.
