Thanks for posting the info you had. Looks like we are the same family. Your Grandfather Frederick would have been a brother of my Grandfather Henry Milson Probert (1868-1925). I do not know if my mother new of any Uncles or Aunts on her fathers side but I do not recall her mentioning anyone and regretfully I never asked - the interest only came about after her death.

Have missing children on 1861 Wales Census.

For interest - Probert Brothers - Butchers had shops at 11 High Street (now Andy Callwood) my uncles William Milson and Henry Albert were born there and 1 Broad Street (now Going Places) where my mother was born. At some stage they moved to Merrydale Farm where they farmed (now a housing development) and this is where my Grandfather died in 1925.

The Thomas Probert Will that has been posted seems to relate to whom would be our GtGtGrandfather but would like to confirm if a connection with William Probert who was involved in the Elstree murder and later hanged for horse theft?

Would be happy to here from anyone interested.
