General question - Familytree formats (General)
Hi Fredb,
Have you looked at Rootsmagic, its an Amercian prog which was launched in UK several years ago.
I have found it excellent - look out for demo on Family mags.
A new release has just been announced, look out for the product at the Glos Family History Fair at the Crypt School, Glouceter on Sat 18th April.
I am sure S & N the UK Distributors will be there.
Item from help file re PAFS
RootsMagic lets you create self-running CDs with your database and a read-only version of RootsMagic that you can share with family and friends. The shareable CD will be an autorun CD with an opening page with a custom title, picture, introduction, and contact information. The shareable CD will even include your photographs and other multimedia items.
Note: The Shareable CD will be an exact copy of your database. This means that any private facts or notes in your database will also be on the shareable CD. If you don’t want private facts or notes in your shareable CD, create a GEDCOM file from your database and don’t include private facts or private notes. Then create a new empty database and import the GEDCOM file into that database. You can then create a shareable CD from that privatized database.
Hope this helps
Happy hunting
