Tomblins Ditch, (General)

Thanks for that, I'll nip over to Christchurch and see some old friends they'll be able to pin point it, I'm sure the name survives somehow. In one census there's a Tomblin family living there, and they are still about, it must have been a row of houses. But if you look at the old photos of the area it looks like The Somme in the first World war so they might have been living in a trench

I found a family near Skenfrith living "The Gutter" I have no idea if it was literally the side of the road, or a house. My daughter actually lived down The Lonk some years ago
