Tomblins Ditch, (General)
http://www.forum.forest-of-dean.net/index.php?mode=thread&id=14986
The TOMLINS that are turning up born around 1815 are involved in Lime burning . kilns.
English Bicknor has a lime hertitage. Joyford / Berry Hill are linked to this.
Perhaps Tomblins Ditch ( bank ?) is a reflection of historic Lime extraction and burning (?) by the Tomblins/Tumblins family.
