St Johns Church, Cinderford - can anyone help? (General)
At the last meeting of the Forest of Dean Branch of the Gloucestershire Family History Society it was mentioned that a group of volunteers intend to transcribe the MIs at St. John's Churchyard soon and were seeking advice from the FH Soc. as to how to proceed.
If I can work out, or find out, which is Plot A and Row 1 I will gladly try to find and photograph the grave. I go to Cinderford every day.
Unfortunately many of the graves are in a delapidated state and particularly the ones constructed of kerbs are, to varying degrees, buried in the grass, and in such cases a casual walk around is unlikely to locate it.
