Hi Dave

No, I have no proof, as per the first paragraph of my posting, and this was the reason for the posting. I originally had John Vaughan baptised 30 Jun 1778 son of William Vaughan & Hannah Maria Bennett as being married to Anna Maria Yemm. But the researcher seems convinced that he married Hannah Maria Vaughan. the Census data fits with a spouse born 1782/83,and Hannah Maria Vaughan was born 1778, Anna Maria Yemm born 1783 but we all know that this is no proof.

Quoting from the document received from the researcher I have mentioned, the Census details are :

The 1841 Census shows Hannah Maria being 58 (b. 1782) , John being 60 (b.1780) , Elizabeth being 18 (b. 1823) ,
John being 32 (b. 1809) , Jane being 25 (b. 1816) .

The 1851 census shows John, age 72 , Hannah , age 68, and John (son),age 42 , living in Newnham.

I believe this Census data refers to John Vaughan and Anna Maria Yemm. Whilst I have changed my Family Tree to indicate John Vaughan born abt 1780 parents unknown, I have left the children of the marriage as confirmed by the census, with John Vaughan and Anna Maria Yemm. The baptisms for each child, Lettis 1807, John 1809, Jane 1816 & Elizabeth 1823 are on the web site baptised at Ruardean to John and Maria/Meriah Vaughan. Neither John Vaughan's are related to me, but I have connections leading to relatives in each case. For instance Anna Maria Yemm had a brother Amos who married Winifred Baldwin, they had 9 children 3 of whom married into the Marfell family and I have connections from others.
