Some of the parish records for Ashleworth are available on the web via Genuki, as well as through this site. I've found these useful in tracing the various bits of my tree.
Jasper Alder's will says he was a Horse trader, and that he owned a messuage and garden in Newpond. Jasper was buried 22/6/1800 in Ashleworth, which would fit with the IGI record tidily, and his eldest son was John, which would fit too.
Though over half of the Alder children died young, the "survivors" all seem to have made old bones....The Sauls were also a long lived lot.
Louisa Saul, daughter of Josiah Saul and Elizabeth Alder, married George Moorfield and had 9 children. The demise of the wool trade caused the family to move out of the area, and the children and grandchildren settled all over the UK, from Kent to Yorkshire.
