I guess this is the marriage referred to for Edwin HUTTON:-

From FamilySearch General Register:-

Name Edwin Leonard Hutton
Event Type Marriage
Registration Quarter Apr-May-Jun
Registration Year 1891
Registration District Pontypool
County Monmouthshire
Event Place Pontypool, Monmouthshire, England
Volume 11A
Page 229
Line Number 219
Edwin Leonard Hutton probably married one of the following people
Name Caroline Davies
Name Mary James
Name Jabez Matthews

And from FamilySearch parish records:-

Name Edwin Hutton
Event Type Marriage
Event Date 08 Apr 1891
Event Place Mamheilad [Mamhilad], Monmouthshire, Wales
Age 26
Birth Year (Estimated) 1865
Spouse's Name Mary James

In 1881 it looks like Edwin (Edward sic – he is also referred to as Edward in the 1911 Census} was here in the household of his uncle:-

GR 1881 Census, Doward Farm, Ganarew, Heref,

Wm WILLIAMS, Head, Mar, 53, Farmer of 100 acres, b. Heref. Ganarew
Elizabeth, Wife, Mar, 52, Heref. Llangarren
Edward L. HUTTON, Nephew, Un, 15, Farm servant indoors. Heref. Llangarren
Thomas ALLAWAY, Servant, Un, 15, Farm servant indoors. Heref. Ganarew

Elizabeth must be the sister of Charles HUTTON as identified in Jeff’s 1841 Census post above.

The marriage from FamiySearch:-

Name Elizabeth Hutton
Event Type Marriage
Registration Quarter Jan-Feb-Mar
Registration Year 1853
Registration District Ross
County Herefordshire
Event Place Ross, Herefordshire, England
Volume 6A
Page 671
Line Number 9
Elizabeth Hutton probably married one of the following people
Name William Williams

If Edwin HUTTON and Mary were married in Mamhilad there should be some indication of their presence in the neighbourhood. This for Mary JAMES:-

GR 1891 Census, Cwm, Monmouth
Mon, Cwm
Eli BISHOP, Head, Mar, Head, 28, Labourer Iron Works, b. Mon, Cwm
Alice, Wife, Mar, 27, Mon, Cwm
Gladys, Daur, 6, Scholar, Mon, Cwm
Fred, Son, 3, Scholar, Mon, Cwm
Gertrude, Daur, 2, Mon, Cwm
Mary JAMES, Visitor, S, 28, Hereford, Whitchurch
Edwin DREW, Visitor, S, 27, Labourer Iron Works, Mon, Monmouth [on second view it looks more like OVEN]

Cwm is not that far from Mamhilad.

It might be very revealing if we can find Edwin HUTTON in the 1891 Census. This would be only a few days before his possible marriage.

As for Mary’s baptism:-

FamilySearch

Name Mary Anne James
Gender Female
Christening Date 13 Jul 1862
Christening Place WHITCHURCH,HEREFORD,ENGLAND
Father's Name James James
Mother's Name Ann
