Taylor family of Broadwell nr. Coleford (General)

by kenjack, Thursday, March 27, 2008, 06:09 (6092 days ago)

My Mother was Joan Louise Taylor and she was married to George William Taylor and lived at ' The Old Post Office ' Broadwell Lane End just after WW2. I was adopted in 1946 and am trying to locate any body who either new her or in anyway may have been related, unfortunately my Mother died in 2003 and at the time her husband was still alive but unfortunately by the time I had managed to trace back he had left the address they had been living at in Newton Abbot, Devon.

I would be grateful for any information that can be provided.

Thanks in advance

Ken Aldis

Reading your post it seems you are trying to trace your birth relatives. If this is the case, it is not really a family history matter in the genealogical sense as there are strict laws governing adopted persons tracing living relatives (and vice versa), designed to protect all parties.

Having been down this road successfully myself, I can tell you how to start the process and put you in touch with people who will guide you through, if you so wish.
