William's declaration refers to his father.

Mortgage granted to Richard Jelfe (City of Gloucester), assigned by Charles Hopkins (Dingestowe, Monmouth) to Jeremiah Jenkins (Gloucester). Details of original mortgage granted to William Jelfe (Richard's father) in 1708 on security of lands in Ruardean,, subsequent assignment of mortgage & transfer of property to Richard. As part of this agreement, some of the original mortgage was repaid.
