Hi Andrew, not an answer to you unfortunately, but a question.
I have an Ellen Baldwin(Hampshire) she came to Drybrook & married an John Edwards. As William & Hannah Baldwin had such a large family, 21 children born in 19 years, one set of triplets & 3 sets of twins, I wondered if Ellen came to help with the family. I cannot shed any more light on Ellen, have you come across her in your research.
Her birth place seems to be different on almost all census papers.
1861 has her born 1814 Bealah Yeno?,Hampshire, written as it was said I guess.
Is it Beauworth or Beaulieu, Bellah Yeo!!!!
Yet another mystery to ponder.
Cheers
Marian

Out of interest - what did they die of? (It being unusual for a couple to depart on the same day).

Hi Andrew
I cannot help either I am afraid, but would also like to know who Hannah's parents are. But I too have a question !!
William Baldwin was the son of Richard Baldwin & Sarah Herbert married 15.10.1770. I can trace Sarah Herbert back 4 generations but I do not know who the parents of Richard Baldwin are, do you have any information on this ?
