Hi ChrisW, thank you so much for your reply.
Marriages Sep 1872
HART George Upton 6c 443
HAYDEN Harriet Upton 6c 443
George Hart in the above marriage was my great grandfather, the thing that has me confused is that on later census's Harriet's place of birth is quoted as being Dudley, I've searched that area & can find no records of a Harriet Hayden being born in that area, so I'm thinking that mistakes were made on later census's & that the Harriet Hayden I'm looking for is the one I quoted in my first post as the dates seem to fit. I guess I'll have to order the marriage certificate to see what it says. :)
Thank you for your help.
Regards Carol.

Harriet HART Burial, Berrow
by ChrisW , Sunday, May 04, 2008, 05:29 (6056 days ago) @ slowhands
The only other one I found on FreeBMD was born in Hackney in 1852. She was probably the same one that turned up in West Ham in 1861.
I have a theory about Harriet, Slowhands. I believe she was an alien;
probably a Plutonian. Cloning is nothing new you know. The Plutonians were adept in the art of transmogrification; which was very useful in avoiding detection by the authorities.
TRANSMOGRIFICATION (n. Plut.) The ability to be in several different places at the same time, without actually being anywhere.
Discuss.

...on the other hand..
Could this be Harriet's parents & sister?
Could it even be Harriet herself, who changed her name because she hated it?
This is not as mad as it sounds as I can't find a marriage or death for Sarah Anne. Perhaps she was an alien as well?
....am I talking to myself?....

Hahaha, like the idea of an alien :)
I finally got round to going through some paperwork today, this was papers that I was left when my aunt died, amongst it was the marriage certificate of Harriet & George, place of residence was Castlemorton & the name of Harriet's father was Joseph.
Thanks once again for your help ChrisW & slowhands.

Go to the top of the class Paul!
How did we miss that one?
Oh I know, Carol said she had already checked the Dudley area and couldn't find anything. (You just can't get the right calibre of posters these days!)
Thanks
