The simplest place to go to is the local Newspaper , but that makes several assumptions :-
1/ the death was sudden or unexplained i.e. unexpected
2/ it was reported

If the death was certified by a doctor or the cause was known etc then the need for an Inquest is pretty low, if not negligible...

Hi,

For newspaper records try Cinderford library as they have a good record of the Dean Forest Mercury on microfiche. If you are local you can drop buy, otherwise they will look and for a small fee (3 pnds I think it was) will print and send a copy of anything they find. Very helpful ladies working there. If you google the library yo will find it under the Glos council web site.

cheers,
Roland.
