I suspect this is him in 1871 in St Briavels as a Police Officer.
Henry Martin 44 Prestbury, Gloucestershire, England Head St Briavel
Eliza Martin 40 Ashchurch, Gloucestershire, England Wife St Briavel
Thomas Martin 15 Berkley, Gloucestershire, England Son St Briavel
William Martin 13 Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England Son St Briavel
William White 2 Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England Grandson St Briavel

1881 still at St Briavels Police Station
Henry Martin abt 1828 Prestbury, Gloucestershire, England Head St Briavels
Eliza Martin abt 1832 Ashchurch, Gloucestershire, England Wife St Briavels
Harriett Emily White abt 1875 Bream, Gloucestershire, England Granddaughter
St Briavels

In 1881 Grandson is with his mother Ann nee Martin in Bream
William White abt 1847 Tidenham, Gloucestershire, England Head West Dean
Ann White abt 1851 Ashchurch, Gloucestershire, England Wife West Dean
Herbert R. White abt 1877 Bream, Gloucestershire, England Son West Dean
Leah Jane White abt 1880 Bream, Gloucestershire, England Daughter West
Dean
William H. White abt 1869 Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England Son West
Dean
Albert E. White abt 1871 Bream, Gloucestershire, England Son West Dean

So in 1861 I'd expect to see Henry Martin as aged approx 33/34 and judging
by the birthplace of his children William and Thomas "possibly" over the
Severn in the Tebury area.( not unusual for a police officer to move around
in the county)

In 1851 I'd expect to find him possibly with daughter Ann in
Tewkesbury/Ashchurch area, maybe recently married to Eliza.

Henry Martin was baptised on 25th December 1826 at Prestbury,
Gloucestershire, the son of Thomas and Sarah Martin.
In 1841 He was living in Burgage Street, Prestbury with his father, Alfred
(1821), John (1821), Mary (1824), Henry (1826), William (1828), Thomas
(1830), Samuel (1833).
