Catherine POWELL late of Ruardean (General)

HI
I`m trying to trace the Catherine POWELL who was my great grandmother.
In 1884 my grandmother(her daughter) was baptised at Bishopswood Baptist church although she had been christened in tthe Primitive Methodist chapel Lydbrook(1874)
The baptismal entry described Agnes`s mother (Catherine POWELL)as being"late of Ruardean"There was no father mentioned(as was the case with Agnes`s birth and marriage certificates)
Has anyone seen Catherine in any Ruardean records?
Sylvia

Hi
My thanks to Slowhands for that reply. My (5 year )search for my great grandmother continues I`ve come across 2 likely candidates-one born Madely Hereford (1854) and the other born Monmouth(1860)
Id welcome any input whatsoever about a Catherine POWELL of a suitable age and locality to have had my grandmother Agnes SElina POWELL in 1874
thank you
Sylvia
