My grandfather was baptized Henry Bibe Clements at Flaxley on 19/04/1858.The name Bibe is most unusual but I can find no family connection to the name. I wondered if the name has or had any local significance?

There could be a connection to the Bibey family who were living in and around the English Bicknor area during the 1700's and into the 1800's. The name is spelt many different ways in the Parish records.
