I'm lookig for a transcription buddy (General)
Greetings all
As I sit at my computer transcribing parish registers for the Forest of Dean Project, the thing I miss is someone to compare notes with. When I'm down at my local LDS Family History Centre and we're all there - peering into our respective film readers - trawling through parish registers - if we get stuck or aren't sure about a word, all we have to do is ask and everyone gathers around and tries to help. This is extremely helpful.
Now it occurred to me that perhaps I could do something similar online.
So I am looking for a transcription 'buddy' out there who might be willing to check the odd indecipherable entry for me. I would of course do the same in return.
My particular interest is transcribing early parish registers pre-1700. So perhaps it might be sensible to try and find a buddy who is interested in the same.
Anyway, if any of you are interested, feel free to contact me on

Best to all all out there and happy transcribing!
