Ann Ganner, Westbury on Severn (General)

by hillfield, Monday, June 09, 2008, 07:50 (6020 days ago)

I have just this evening found a likely match for my husband's great great grandmother. She may have been Ann Ganner who married John Taylor in Westbury in 1827. If anyone else is researching the Ganner name, I would love to hear from them just to check that I have the correct Ann.

Many thanks

Heather

Thanks Chris

That's all so useful. I wonder which name is right Ganner or Gamer? I've had many other experiences of differing names the most amazing being Field and Veale (of Lympsham, Somerset).

Hi Heather

I dunno! There are these Ganners:

1838 GANNER Mary Baptism Westbury on Severn More detail
1812 GANNER Eliza Baptism Westbury on Severn More detail
1829 GANNER Mary Burial Westbury on Severn More detail
1845 GANNER George Burial Westbury on Severn More detail
1827 GANNER Ann Marriage Westbury on Severn More detail

and only these Gamers:

1802 GAMER Ann Baptism Westbury on Severn More detail
1802 GAMER George Marriage Westbury on Severn More detail

so I suppose it's more likely to be Ganner?

Perhaps someone can find them on a Census?

(Veale & Field? The mind boggles!)

Regards
Chris
