Can anyone help?
I am trying to find the parents of William Malson who married Sarah Newton Hunt on 17 March 1821 at Abenhall.
I think William & Sarah had a son James born 24th January 1822 who was baptised 17 February 1822 at Mitcheldean. James married Fanny Malson daughter of Frederick Malson on 6 February 1853 at Cinderford St. John, they later emigrated to USA

I have this William married to Anne Smith 13 Feb 1825 Hope Mansell. I don't think it is the same William as he and Anne had children baptised after the marriage date for William and Sarah, but thanks anyway.

Thanks for that - a lot of information to look through thank you very much for your help. On first read through it seems a possible match, but it would make marriage to Sarah a second marriage and on parish records it states bachelor for William ?

Hello pamclark,
I am new to this site but feel by what you posted previously that we are researching the same WILLIAM MALSON and family .
I have been searching for John MALSON for years and i am hoping i have found him,not at the moment positive .The William you are researching is married to Sarah Newton Hunt[and not Ann Smith] in 1827 they baptised their 3rd child John MELSON at Mitcheldean Congregational Chapel.
Could we possibly share our findings?
Kind Regards Trevor
