NK on census form (General)
I recently downloaded a census form and underneath the 'Where Born' column were the letters N K.
I take this to be short for 'Not Known'. Is it possible that in 1901 someone of 42 did not know where they were born? Or is there a more suble interpretation, eg, not wishing to be traced?
Gordon.
