Gloucester County Lunatic Asylum (General)

Hello all,

I wonder if anyone could help me please. I dont know the area of Forest of Dean or Gloucester at all & was wondering if Wooton, where the Gloucester County Lunatic Asylum was, came into the Forest of Dean or just Gloucester. Sorry to sound so stupid, If anyone could help, that would be great, or if anyone knows anything about the Asylum would be good too.
