I have a PETER JONES aged 65 in the 1841 census of Chepstow who is living in Nelson Street. Peter was a tailor.
He married Susannah Nicholas on 29 August 1791 in Chepstow. The transcript details state that he was of the parish of Chepstow.
Can anyone help me with a baptism for Peter please?

Long shot but a candidate for parents
I wonder if they move out of Chepstow - Tutshill ? Mathern ? etc after 1770 and hence "Peter" is baptised at another church in the area ?

It's possible although he named his only son, Henry and none of his daughters by the name of Rachel.
