I have a copy of the 1861 census for the Ruspidge/Cinderford area.
My great, great grandfather William was then 40 years of age, his wife was either Hannah or Harriet.
They had 7 children (6 sons and one daughter)The second eldest son Tom came to NZ in approx 1878 with his wife Rosannah Apperly. I would love to find out where the remaining children : ages in ( ) at time of census: William (18)
Harriet (10)John (8) Richard (6) and twin boys Joseph and Milson?(2).
Tom was born 1847 and died 1928; his wife Rosannah d 1918 and both are buried in Blackball on the west Coast of the South Island.
Prior to coming to NZ they had 4 children who travelled with them, and another 6 in NZ.Ther eldest also Tom was born 30th November 1872 Westbury on Severn in the sub district of Newnham-Respage East Dean.
Any help would be grand
