I was interested to see this picture af Hanah Malson's grave stone,and was wondering if Esther knows if there are any more grave stones for the Malson/m family at Abenhall?

Although my husband and I had a good look around, we couldn't find any other Malson/m graves, unfortunately there were quite a few old unreadable grave stones so will never know whether these could be anything to do with the family.

Thanks for your reply. It will save me a wasted visit to Abenhall. I am descended from George Malsom 1774 and Catherine Gibbs, where do the Malson/ms fit into your ancestors? Would be pleased to share any info I may have that may be of interest to you.

I am descended from Richard Malson/m (1768-1855) and Hannah nee Yearsley (1761-1833), through their son William (1796-1874) who married Anne Smith (1798-1874).
Would be good to compare notes.

Hello;
Not the answer that you are looking for, but I believe that Hannah Malson is nee Hannah Yearsley, daughter of John Yearsley and Sarah Marfield. Hannah was born November 15, 1761 and when calculating backwards from the death date of 1833 fits pretty well. Hannah had 2 sisters that I know of, Sarah (b) November 24, 1765 and Esther (b) April 28, 1768. There may be others but, I have not researched this line to it's fullest. John and Sarah Marfield where married October 08, 1760 in Ruardean. I hope that this is correct and that it helps you in the background of this family.

Regards
Glen A. Yearsley
