WILLIAMS, William and Eliza (General)

I am trying to trace the marriage of William williams and Eliza ? which could be around 1850.By the 1861 census they had children William, Harriet, Henry and John. There is also another "son" aged 13 but having searched for him on the parish records he has different parents. Wm williams was recorded as a blacksmith on this census and subsequent ones apart fom the 1871 census where he is alled a collier, so presume he was some sort of metal worker attached to a mine. They lived around the Coleford area, Lane End. William was born around 1826 and Eliza around 1825.Any other info on this family would be very helpful too.

WILLIAMS, William and Eliza

I have also been researching this family - my brother in law's. He is descended from William and Eliza's first son Milson. In the 1851 census I think he is living with his grandparents, John Williams and Mary at Five Acres (a second marriage for both of them I think.) Milson married a Lydia Roberts March 20th 1872 in the Independent Chapel Coleford. They had 2 daughters and my brother in law is descended from the second daughter Elizabeth. Tragically, her father died in a mining accident before she was born. Her mother remarried.
Now the question which is puzzling me is what is the maiden name of William Williams's wife Eliza? I had decided that it was Eliza Knight who was living with her parents at Berry Hill in the 1841 census. A marriage between a William Williams and Eliza Knight was registered at Monmouth (where Milson's birth was registered) in Jan Feb or March 1848 Vol 26 page 97. Eliza Knight's baptism was recorded at Christchurch Dec 11th 1825, parents William and Sarah. They were living at Five Acres which Eliza gives as her place of birth in the 1851 census.
The Elizabeth Jones who has also been suggested as the wife of William Williams is also a strong possibility. Was William Williams living with his mother-in-law Mary Jones in the 1851 census?
It all needs more investigation to establish who is the wife of William Williams.
